Fall Pinspiration

Fall is in the air.  The nights and mornings are cool.  Red wine is once again the drink of choice.   The girls back to school supplies are picked out and packed in their backpacks.  Some new fall clothes are purchased and their first day of school outfits are laid out.  We have one more week at the lake.  The last week of summer.  Squeezing every last bit of summer out of time left with the girls.  We have ten days here. They go back the day after labor day and we will stay here till then.  Our longest stay yet.  We have owned the house since June but will only have stayed here for a little less than 3 weeks by the time summer vacation ends.  

While here I got on Pinterest one night.  One of my favorite ways of finding inspiration.  Right now I'm in a fall mood.  Looking forward to crockpot meals.  Cooking with the bounty of vegetables in our farmshare.  Apple picking and warm comfort food.  Along with all the other scents and smells of fall.  Can you tell?

Fall foods, fall colors, fall decorating.  It is one of my favorite seasons.  Warm days, cool nights.  Changing leaves.  Crisp air.  Apple pie.  Blue jeans and sweaters.  Hikes and the crunching sound of leaves.  Blankets.  Fires.  Boots.  Back to school.  Starting over.  Fresh starts.  I love Fall!  But until then, one last week of summer at the lake...
